Happy New Year! Popular theory is that it takes three weeks to a month to form a new habit. Whether yours is a healthier lifestyle or getting fit. Check my blog every day in January for daily tips that will exactly help you do that.
Day 1: Write down your goals
If you haven't yet settled on your top goals for the year, do so today. Writing down your goals means you're more likely to achieve them.
Here is why:
1. It forces you to be completely clear on what you want to achieve
2. It will help motivate you to take action
3. It will help you overcome obstacles
4. It enables you to see - and celebrate - your success
Start with a list but don't stop there, make yourself an inspiration board. Start with any kind of blank canvas (cork board, poster paper) and a stack of magazines, photos, or whatever inspires
you. When choosing your images, think of things that relate to your goals and the steps you need to get there.
Below is a picture of my inspiration board. It is still in the early stages but the signed picture from professional triathlete, Rachel McBride is the centerpiece. I will keep on posting updates as the month goes on.
